Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is actively hiring a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support our Meter Data Management System (MDMS VI) program based out of Huntsville, AL. This position is primarily telework with a requirement to be onsite at least one day a week in Huntsville, AL. REQUIRES IS AN ACTIVE TS/SCI and will only consider US CItizens. As an ISSE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cybersecurity of IT infrastructure, applications, and new development projects, ensuring the security and efficacy of networks. The workload will vary depending on the number of active development projects, FedRAMP governance tier level, and other technical evaluations required by the MDMS VI program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and integrate a DoD IA architecture, system, or system component for use within CE (computing environment), NE (network environment), and/or enclave environments.
- Perform technical analysis, research, evaluation, and provide technical guidelines to support cybersecurity objectives.
- Ensure systems comply with DoD, NIST, and other applicable cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead or significantly contribute to FedRAMP projects and serve as a senior engineer-level technical advisor to the FedRAMP process.
- Conduct research and analysis of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products, ensuring compliance with NSTISSP-11 and validation via NIAP Common Criteria or NIST FIPS Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP).
- Design IT system architecture and solutions for mid to large enterprises with both local and remote connection requirements.
- Assess current infrastructure and architecture, making recommendations for improvements, expansions, and device/software lifecycle management.
- Liaise with internal and external partners at all levels, including government and private sector entities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of nine (9) years of demonstrated recent relevant experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
- At least five (5) years of experience performing information assurance (cybersecurity) and security engineering in the process control industry.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing information assurance and security engineering in the information technology industry for systems or networks.
- At least three (3) years of demonstrated recent relevant experience performing information assurance and security engineering within the Department of Defense, including experience with the RMF process.
- Experience with eMASS or similar compliance systems, managing POA&Ms, and running reports.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement IA Controls, including technical, procedural, and documentation requirements as per DoD and Army guidelines.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Must meet DoD 8570 requirements, with at least one of the following certifications: IASAE I (CASP+ CE, CISSP, CSSLP), IAM II (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP), or IAT II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP).
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This is a hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite as needed for customer support in Huntsville, AL.
- Must have reliable communication capability (preferably cell phone) and a stable, capable internet connection if the worksite is other than MDMS VI facilities or corporate office space.
- Proficient in English to effectively communicate complex technical ideas verbally and in writing.
