We are actively seeking a Director to become an integral part of our Finance & Accounting Consulting Practice at MMC Consulting. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in client service & team leadership. Key responsibilities will include fostering client relationships, developing team members, delivering specialized finance & accounting support to meet the unique needs of our clients, and contributing to the overall success of the firm.

As a Director at MMC Consulting, you will serve clients in finance, accounting, and operations and will play a crucial role in driving the success of the firm through effective leadership, client management, and strategic planning. Your work will be related to finance transformations, finance leadership transition services, process and controls improvement, financial analysis and reporting, finance system implementations, and project management. Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of relevant work experience including functioning as a Management Consultant, Manager in an Audit Practice, Controller, Finance Manager, or CFO
- A combination of Industry (Controller/CFO) and Professional Service (Management Consultant or Auditor) experience will be given preference

- Strong financial and accounting acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles and practices
- Proven track record of success in building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to a non-financial audience
- Ability to effectively manage a project plan and budget
Client Service Responsibilities:
Accounting Advisory:
- Provide client with interim accounting/finance leadership to guide organizations through transition periods or during executive vacancies
- Lead finance assessment and transformations by identifying inefficiencies in financial and accounting processes and implementing improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Review technical accounting and internal control memos tailored for client needs
- Analyze and evaluate internal controls related to financial risks
- Develop and implement strategies and procedures to improve internal controls
- Manage client engagements while leading a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support
FP&A & Corporate Finance Advisory:
- Oversee client organization's financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the company's financial health and stability
- Advise client on the potential performance improvements opportunities, including but not limited to: cost optimization, pricing strategies, working capital improvement, investment initiatives analysis, etc.
- Execute financial due diligence to assist clients with their M&A activity, including: performance analysis, quality of earnings assessment, preparation of opening balance sheet, intangible valuation, etc.
- Work with client to identify and assess the long-term impact of potential strategic business decisions
Change Management:
- Partner with clients to support execution of change strategy related activities, including change management, stakeholder management, communications, learning, measurement, readiness, leader enablement, change networks, etc.
- Develop strategies and thought leadership to equip clients with tools and resources to support organizational change
- Lead client system implementations (ERP, GL, Inventory management, etc.)
Firm Leadership Responsibilities:
- Play a significant role in firm mentorship and oversight program
- Actively drive firm business development
- Identify and participate in networking opportunities
- Provide thought leadership on firm trainings, team development, and firm tools
- Travel to client locations & MMC Office is required
