Job Description:
As an IT Security Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in IT projects, focusing on gathering and reviewing artifacts for the controls assessment process related to SEC530 and IRS PUB1075 security standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the project team to review user stories and identify the necessary security controls for success criteria.
- Assisting the project team in identifying and providing the necessary deliverables and artifacts to demonstrate control implementation for user stories.
- Coordinating artifact approval with the client Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) team.
- Supporting the identification and documentation of Plans of Actions and Milestones for controls not met, in collaboration with the Technology Service Cyber Security division and project team.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Experience with information security programs in regulated industries such as government, healthcare, and/or financial services.
- Proficiency in analyzing and supporting the implementation of information security and privacy controls based on NIST 800-53.
- Experience working with agile-based methodologies.
- Ability to consult and support technical staff in implementing security controls based on NIST 800-53.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
