Position Overview: IT Specialist
The organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join its dynamic and innovative team. In this role, the IT Specialist will oversee the comprehensive management of employee workstations, ensuring optimal security configurations and driving continuous improvements in the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure. Responsibilities and Duties:
Endpoint Setup and Configuration:
- Set up new laptops and employee workstations, including the integration of peripherals such as docks, monitors, and ethernet connections
- Ensure optimal configuration and security settings on endpoints using Crowdstrike, promptly addressing and rectifying any issues
MDM Management:
- Manage applied settings from MDM platforms such as Google for Windows and Apple Business Manager
- Monitor and enforce the latest Chrome and OS updates, maintaining a zero-trust approach to endpoint security
- Facilitate Google Voice setup for hardware phones and users
Meeting Hardware Setup:
- Oversee Google Meet Hardware setup, ensuring seamless functionality
Remote Connectivity:
- Assist employees in connecting to VPN services to enable secure remote access
Inventory and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular inventories of devices
- Provide general troubleshooting support for both hardware and user-related issues
Improvements to MDM Infrastructure:
- Enhanced Security Configurations:
- Collaborate to improve Apple and Windows MDM settings for enhanced security and configuration
- Endpoint and Software Management:
- Identify and remove pre-installed bloatware on Windows devices
- Laptop Deployment:
- Implement zero-touch deployment processes
- Tech Refresh Program:
- Develop and implement a tech refresh program to cycle out older devices, ensuring a modern and efficient endpoint environment
- Bitlocker Key Management:
- Implement a non-manual Bitlocker key management system for enhanced data security
Required Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with Crowdstrike and other endpoint security tools
- Proficiency in configuring and managing MDM settings for Apple and Windows devices
- Strong understanding of Bitlocker and encryption key management
- Ability to streamline processes for zero-touch laptop deployments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- A proactive approach to staying informed about the latest trends and technologies in endpoint management
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in endpoint management, MDM administration, and troubleshooting
Other Requirements:
Pay Range: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
