Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12-month remote contract position with a leading client located in Cleveland, OH. This role pays $51.75-70/HR W2 based on experience. Candidates applying must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis directly with Genesis10.
Job Duties:
- Provides hands on engineering and operational expertise for Guardium infrastructure, including both VM and physical appliances.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with large scale Database Activity Monitoring system. Ability to perform design, installation, performance testing, patching, trouble shooting and daily operational support using the IBM Guardium DAM tool.
- 3+ years hands-on experience using IBM Guardium version 10 database activity monitoring.
- Proficient knowledge developing all forms of reporting, alerting and SIEM integration
- 4+ years working in a large scale IT organization. Ability to work within a formal Change Control system (planning, documenting, scheduling and implementing)
- Employs detailed knowledge of major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB.
- Employs detailed knowledge of major OS platforms such as Windows, Unix/Linux.
- Strong knowledge with Guardium policy rules development and implementation
- Strong knowledge with anomaly detection development and testing
- Experience with Ansible and/or automation tools
- Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining Guardium DAM tool.
- Ability to work independently, leading meetings with application and development teams discovering and documenting detailed requirements
- Ability to plan, coordinate and implement Guardium agent installations during night time maintenance windows
