iCallidus is seeking a Security Engineer to support the Zero Trust Architecture Program Management Office in its mission to enhance cybersecurity and privacy risk posture. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in implementing and maintaining security measures across IT systems, ensuring compliance with federal mandates and contributing to the ZTA strategy's success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols to protect information systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and federal regulations.
- Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets by implementing security measures to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Respond to alerts and indicators of compromise (IOCs) within 24 hours.
- Manage and mitigate incidents involving personally identifiable information (PII), ensuring adherence to guidelines.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures for timely and effective responses to security incidents.
- Identify and assess security risks, developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Maintain a risk register to track program risks, providing monthly updates and ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of security measures.
- Collaborate with various divisions to identify and address gaps in security, contributing to the maturation of zero trust capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security and Privacy Policy, FedRAMP requirements, and other relevant regulations.
- Complete mandatory security awareness, privacy, and records management training, along with role-based training for significant security responsibilities.
- Conduct security control assessments and continuous monitoring in accordance with relevant standards.
- Provide regular reports on security posture, including assessments of ZTM scorecards and recommendations for improving zero trust maturity.
- Participate in testing and evaluating new tools and technologies to support zero trust capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise in encryption, secure configuration, and other security technologies.
- Assist in the development of an enterprise ZTA roadmap, aligning goals with organization-wide objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on incident response, risk management, and compliance.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing security measures, including encryption, access controls, and incident response protocols.
- Knowledge of federal security mandates, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and EO 14028.
- Experience with security control assessments, continuous monitoring, and automated reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance as specified by the contract.
