Are you a web application penetration tester looking to join a team that values innovation while making an impact? Zelvin Security in Knoxville, TN is hiring a web application penetration tester to join its growing team of professional Ethical Hackers.
In this role, the web application penetration tester is primarily responsible for performing dynamic (manual) Web Application Penetration Testing from an authenticated and unauthenticated perspective. However, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a pentesting job. This is a chance to work as an Ethical Hacking Consultant in a fun environment on projects that are challenging, cutting edge, and rewarding. Working with senior-level and junior-level cybersecurity practitioners, this position includes testing traditional web applications, API testing, mobile application testing, validating remediation efforts, and designing custom remediation strategies for Zelvin Security’s clients.

Who you are:
- An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Forensics, Cybersecurity preferred. A similar field or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications such as: GWAPT, GMOB, OSWE, OSCP, GXPT, GXPN, GCPN, GPEN are a huge plus.
- Understanding of web applications, network infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, protocols, services, OSI model, SDLC, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Programming experience, deep knowledge of frameworks and languages a plus.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
- Understanding of remediation techniques and guidance such as output encoding and OWASP Cheat Sheets.
- Experience using ethical hacking tools and assessment software.
- Experience writing reports and delivering findings to technologists and executives.
