Job Title : Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst
Job Type : W2 / C2C / 1099
Experience : 8 to 15 Years
Location : Seattle, Washington
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation purposes.
- Basic understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases, Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS), MITRE ATT&CK framework, OWASP Top 10, vulnerability scanning tools, and remediation techniques.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Working knowledge of data aggregation platforms such as Splunk.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans on systems, networks, and applications.
- Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Assist in the prioritization of vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
- Work with IT and development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Track and report on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Stay current with the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and security trends.
- Participate in security assessments and audits as required.
- Having one or more certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
