Who You Are:
The Head of Information Technology will oversee and manage all aspects of technology operations within the company, including vendor management, hardware and networking infrastructure, website maintenance, CRM support and administration, and more. This role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach to ensure the seamless integration and functioning of technological resources, supporting the company’s goals and enhancing operational efficiency. A solid understanding of information security and cybersecurity best practices is essential.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate new vendors and technologies to enhance the company’s tech capabilities.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all hardware and network systems.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Manage the company’s website, ensuring it is secure, up-to-date, and fully functional.
- Coordinate with web developers and designers for website enhancements and updates.
- Monitor website performance and implement improvements for optimal user experience.
- Develop and implement the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Identify and recommend innovative technologies to improve business processes and drive growth.
- Lead technology projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Manage and mentor the technology team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to technology and data security.
- Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to safeguard information systems and data.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and apply best practices to mitigate risks.
- Educate and train staff on cybersecurity awareness and protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in using Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience in using Proofpoint for email security and data protection.
- Knowledgeable in Cisco networking equipment and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Skilled in using 1Password for managing passwords and secure information.
- Experience with HubSpot for customer relationship management and marketing automation.
- Proficient in using both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experienced in managing devices with Windows Intune for endpoint security and compliance.
- Previous experience within a major MSP or IT service provider
- Knowledge of Outlook 365 servers
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on vendor management, hardware, networking, and CRM administration.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Strong understanding of information security and cybersecurity best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry or within a fast growing start up
- Certifications in relevant technologies or IT management frameworks (e.g., PMP, ITIL).
- Certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
