We are currently hiring a Cyber Security Systems Architect/Engineerin our Program Management Services division at our client's Rochester office (hybrid work week - 3 days in office with a possibility of full time in office) or Remote. The Client is seeking a highly skilled coordinator to harmonize all activities within AVANGRID's Cyber Architecture to ensure alignment across the multi-functional teams of the organization per an Architecture Development Framework (ADF). This position entails coordination with architects, engineers, IT, OT, Telecom and other technical professionals across the organization
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Responsibilities
- Develop Low Level Designs (LLD)
- Work closely with Cyber Architects to ensure LLD supports HLD (High-Level Design)
- Identify requirements for interfaces
- Create ICD (Interface Control Documents) for critical interfaces
- Create Test Plans for Interfaces between systems run through workflows.
- Coordinate activities across multi-functional teams including architects, engineers, IT, OT, Telecom and other technical professionals across the organization
- Socialize requirements, risks, risk mitigation, concepts, budgets, specifications, changes, standards, rules, policies, procedures, best practices interfaces, designs, milestones, minutes, deadlines, and impacts
- Providing clear and concise presentations
- Communicate with all levels of management and organizations with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Provide work status updates to team members and to management
- Respond to requests for information from both internal and external teams
- Participate in design review meetings as required
- Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field Experience Required:
- Experience with coordination of activities across multi-functional teams including architects, engineers, IT, OT, telecom, management, and other technical professionals across the organization
- Socialization of activities including requirements, concepts, budgets, specifications, standards, rules, policies, best practices interfaces, designs, milestones, deadlines, and impacts
- Proven success working with all levels of management and organizations with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Providing clear and concise presentations Experience Desired
- Multi-level security systems and cross domain solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools
- Proficient in Cybersecurity Solution Architecture discipline, concepts, and best practices
- Industry-standard and organizationally accepted principles and methods
- Cybersecurity and privacy principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
- Operating systems & common platform applications
- Systems testing and evaluation methods
- Cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Operational Technology (OT) architectural concepts and patterns (e.g., baseline, validated design, and target architectures.)
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy
- Network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth)
- Computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies
- Physical and logical network devices and infrastructure to include hubs, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
- Demilitarized zones (DMZ)
- Organizational process improvement concepts and process maturity models (e.g., Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, CMMI for Services, and CMMI for Acquisitions)
- Network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools
- Network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services and network security (e.g., encryption, firewalls, authentication, honeypots, perimeter protection)
- Project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS and Microsoft Azure)
- System of Systems design approach
- Interfaces and integration methods
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and implementations
- Familiarity with SCADA and ICS systems in the Energy Sector
- Familiarity with UML type diagrams
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools and data-driven modeling
