Position Overview:
As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company's information technology (IT) initiatives. You will drive innovation, ensure data security, and align technology strategies with business objectives to support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the IT strategy to support Zero Motorcycles' business objectives, including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and customer service. Collaborate with senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business, process and technology needs and to align our use of information technology
- ERP/SAP Management: Lead the ongoing management and optimization of the SAP/ERP system. Ensure it supports manufacturing operations, financial processes, inventory management, and other critical business functions.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Develop clear goals and KPI’s for the IT organization and ensure that the strategies and goals are clearly understood by the team implementing the systems and the company overall. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, software, and cybersecurity. Ensure reliability, security, and scalability to meet business demands. Identify the need for upgrades and new systems to ensure such costs are reflected in current and future budgets.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align IT projects with Zero Motorcycles' objectives. Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of new IT systems.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Implement cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems. Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of IT systems and data, implementing best practices and compliance standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with business goals. Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service levels are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years as a CIO or equivalent senior role.
- Deep understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Proven experience in managing complex IT environments and driving digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
- Solid understanding of business operations and the ability to align IT strategies with business goals.
