Role Description
This is a contract role for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). We are seeking a visionary CTO to drive our technology strategy and lead the development of our next-generation healthcare software solutions. As the CTO, you will play a critical role in shaping our technology roadmap, overseeing software development, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive innovation within our organization. This role may become a hybrid role after 3 months of employment, where the candidate will be primarily located in Miami, FL, but some remote work is acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the technology strategy for BilliMD, aligning with the company's business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial planning and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure the successful delivery of software projects on time and within budget, meeting quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements, set priorities, and establish project timelines.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our products and services.
- Manage technology budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our software solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role within a technology-driven organization.
- Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Strong background in Software Development and Product Development
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in Project Management and IT Strategy
- Expertise in IT Architecture and System Integration
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and medical billing and credentialing processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a strong business acumen.
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in revenue cycle management is a plus
