The Infrastructure and Security Specialist will manage and support the IT infrastructure of True Homes, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role includes maintaining servers, networks, and related systems with a focus on implementing and maintaining security measures. The Infrastructure and Security Specialist will assist with developing an infrastructure and security plan that will continue to accommodate the organization’s future needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network and systems performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
- Maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical systems.
- Provide support for escalated infrastructure issues submitted through the Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Evaluate network and system capacity with strategic planning for growth.
- Design and support the IT infrastructure within the remote sales offices.
- Work with other departments in planning and scheduling of remote sales offices.
- Perform advanced network systems administration for corporate and remote locations.
- Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Continuously monitor infrastructure for breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute response plans for security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Advise senior management by identifying critical issues and recommend risk-reduction solutions.
- Create and maintain the security awareness training and assessment program.
- Manage and perform multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Performs other duties as needed or required.
Results/Accountability
- System Uptime: Achieve and maintain 99.9% uptime for all critical infrastructure components.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct monthly vulnerability assessments and ensure that 95% of identified vulnerabilities are remediated within 30 days.
- Security Audits: Successfully pass all internal and external compliance audits with zero major findings.
- Documentation Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for 100% of infrastructure configurations, processes, and security protocols.
- System Performance: Improve overall system performance metrics (e.g., response time, throughput) by 20% within the first year.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles with a focus on security.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with network management, Windows domain administration including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, virtualization (Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure /AWS).
- Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of network security principles, best practices, and tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator).
