Overview: We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of our cybersecurity solutions. As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining our organization's cybersecurity architecture, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, networks, and data. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying security risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing best practices to protect our information assets.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Design and develop cybersecurity architecture and solutions that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Assess current cybersecurity infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Define and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments to identify security gaps and recommend mitigating controls.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into systems and applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, encryption solutions, etc.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and industry best practices to proactively update security architecture and defenses.
- Conduct security incident response planning and participate in incident investigations as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to IT teams and stakeholders on cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and ensure adherence through continuous monitoring and assessment.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Architect, Information Security Architect, or similar role with a focus on designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
- Experience with security architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), cryptography, and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
