Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Change Manager to join our team. The IT Change Manager will be responsible for overseeing the change management process, ensuring that changes to IT services and systems are implemented smoothly, minimizing disruptions to business operations while maximizing benefits.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT change management framework, policies, and procedures to govern the planning, scheduling, and coordination of changes across IT systems and services.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to assess change impact, define change objectives, and prioritize changes based on business needs and strategic goals.
- Conduct thorough impact assessments and risk evaluations for proposed changes; identify potential conflicts and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings; facilitate discussions on proposed changes, assess change requests, and make recommendations for approval, rejection, or deferral based on risk assessment and business impact.
- Ensure that change requests are documented, tracked, and managed through the change management lifecycle using appropriate tools and systems.
- Communicate change schedules, status updates, and implementation plans to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and awareness of upcoming changes.
- Monitor and review implemented changes to evaluate their effectiveness and ensure that desired outcomes are achieved; conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams and IT staff on change management best practices, methodologies, and tools; deliver training and workshops as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in change management and IT service management (ITSM).
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (ITIL certification is highly desirable).
- Proven experience (X years) as an IT Change Manager, Change Management Specialist, or similar role in a corporate IT environment.
- In-depth knowledge of IT change management principles, methodologies (e.g., ITIL), and best practices; hands-on experience with change management processes and tools.
- Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes, including incident management, problem management, and configuration management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess complex situations, analyze risks, and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making processes.
- Experience in leading change management initiatives for IT projects, system upgrades, and service transitions.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational and time-management skills.
