Job Title: IT - Cyber Security Specialist V
Job Description
Will provide objective advice, expertise and specialized skills in, but not limited to, supporting projects related to the individual's subject matter expertise or functional domain. Will prepare and deliver analysis and presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and USPS representatives. Assure the proper use of current or requested engineering, configuring, programming, testing, and documentation techniques. Produce and/or review documentation and reports reflecting knowledge of areas. Will lead special projects or investigations into specific technology or solution issues and to shepherd research and piloting of new technologies. May serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts and has overall responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of solutions and/or services while maintaining compliance with enterprise-wide architecture policies and guidelines.
Duties
- Work as a recognized authority on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative
- Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results
- Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management as required
- Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security designs as required
- Design, develop, implement and/or integrate IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements as required
- Builds IA into systems deployed to operational environments
Experience Level
Desired Education and Experience:
10+ years of related experience in engineering/cyber discipline.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources Development, and Psychology or other related disciplines and twelve to fifteen years of experience or Master’s degree and ten to twelve years of related experience or PhD and eight to nine years of related experience.
