We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Product Manager to join our dynamic team and drive the development and delivery of new and existing security products and services.
Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Product Manager at the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) will be responsible for guiding the development and strategy of our cybersecurity products and services. This role involves working closely with the team, including business development, program management, and marketing to deliver solutions that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent project management skills, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.
As a member of the NCC team, the successful Cybersecurity Product Manager will be responsible for technical partnering with Growth and Strategic Managers to develop and support cyber security services and products, but with an emphasis on services. They will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, scoping level of effort and recommending services that provide successful outcomes for our public and private sector customers.
The candidates should be highly competent communicators and presenters with experience running virtual and in-person customer discovery workshops. Previous experience includes understanding and translating technical cybersecurity solutions into business value for C level executives and their companies, along with the ability to do the hands-on work necessary to implement the solution in the customer environment.
Location: We require candidates to be within an hour’s drive from Colorado Springs, CO to support our hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy for the cybersecurity product portfolio.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
- Define product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business goals, customer feedback, and market demands.
- Create a business case that shows what it will cost to develop and support a particular solution. Work closely with the Growth Manager to clearly outline where the money will come from and how to pay for it. In the case of a non-profit this could be a donation or grant or creating a solution that a customer can pay for to generate revenue.
- Product Development:
- Collaborate with teams to define product requirements, specifications, and user stories.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Conduct regular reviews and iterations to align product development with customer and business needs.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights for product improvements.
- Ensure products meet customer expectations and solve real-world problems.
- Present product updates and strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Go-to-Market and Sales Support:
- Develop go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and pricing.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development to create compelling product collateral and presentations.
- Support sales efforts by participating in customer meetings, demos, and industry events.
- Performance and Metrics:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact.
- Analyze product performance data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on product performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, sales, and/or consulting with a focus on cybersecurity or related technology products.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and market landscape.
- Proven experience in leading product development from concept to launch, with a track record of delivering successful products.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams and stakeholders.

o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
o Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
o Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
o CompTIA Security+
o Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
o GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
o Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000/year
