Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to identify and address network needs.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect network data and infrastructure.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies and best practices.
- Support and administer third-party applications and ensure proper integration with the network.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of networking hardware, protocols, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools.
- Experience in security practices and firewall configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
