Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization's networks and systems from cyber threats. Roles And Responsibilities - Network Security Infrastructure:
- Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and web application firewalls (WAF).
- Security Assessments and Audits:
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend security enhancements.
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security assessments of network infrastructure and applications.
- Incident Response and Monitoring:
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Security Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Security Awareness and Training:
- Educate and train employees on network security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a culture of security awareness and adherence to security protocols across the organization.
Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst, or similar role in network security operations.
- In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, protocols, and best practices (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS).
- Experience with firewall administration, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, WAF, and network access control (NAC) solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH) are preferred.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies, such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, etc.
