Job Title: Network Architect
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions.
- Configure and optimize network servers, routers, switches, and other equipment.
- Ensure network performance through regular monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to identify and meet networking needs.
- Develop and enforce network policies and procedures.
- Perform network capacity planning and maintain network documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Computer Network Architect or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, systems, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and software (e.g., firewalls, VPNs).
- Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) are a plus.
