Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware/software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our systems. This role requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and departments.
Roles And Responsibilities - System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Configure and maintain system backups, disaster recovery solutions, and ensure data integrity.
- Server and Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and network devices (routers, switches).
- Manage Active Directory (AD) services, user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
- Implement network security measures, firewalls, and VPN configurations to protect organizational data.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Respond to system and network issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- System Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and security incidents for management and stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards across the organization.
- IT Infrastructure Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
- Implement best practices for system performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to meet business requirements.
