Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions to safeguard our organization's networks, systems, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security principles, technologies, and best practices, with hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining security infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities, ensuring continuous monitoring, and responding to security incidents effectively.
Roles And Responsibilities - Network Security Architecture:
- Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, DNS security, and network access control (NAC) systems.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security requirements.
- Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify network security weaknesses and potential threats.
- Analyze security risks and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize exposure to vulnerabilities and improve overall network security posture.
- Incident Detection and Response:
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and security incidents using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to mitigate threats and prevent recurrence.
- Security Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement and manage security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to network security events in real-time.
- Generate regular security reports, metrics, and dashboards to provide visibility into network security posture and compliance status.
- Network Access Control and Authentication:
- Configure and manage network access control mechanisms, including authentication protocols, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.
- Ensure secure configuration and management of network devices, switches, routers, and wireless networks to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and stakeholders to implement security measures and address network security requirements.
- Document network security configurations, procedures, and incident response plans for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.
