Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role requires expertise in network infrastructure, cloud technologies, server administration, and proactive monitoring to support business operations and scalability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
Roles And Responsibilities Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Design, plan, and implement scalable and resilient IT infrastructure solutions, including network architecture, server environments, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and network technologies to support business requirements and growth objectives.
System Administration and Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage devices, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups, and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Network Management and Security:
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Implement network security measures, including access controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability assessments.
Cloud Computing and Virtualization:
- Deploy and manage cloud-based services and virtualization platforms to support application development, data storage, and infrastructure scalability.
- Optimize cloud resources, monitor performance metrics, and implement cost-effective solutions in cloud environments.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Monitor system performance, network traffic, and server health using monitoring tools and implement proactive measures to optimize infrastructure performance.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to IT infrastructure and security.
Collaboration and Project Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT support, development, and security teams, to address infrastructure-related issues and support project initiatives.
- Manage infrastructure projects, including planning, resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables, to meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
