About You :
Looking for a
Cloud Engineer to join our growing Platform Engineering team. The team's goal is to manage the public cloud, improve DevOps practices, and monitor the compay's real-time syndicated loan data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud-native applications, distributed computing, Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD implementation, and observability tools and practices. This role offers the opportunity to transform infrastructure and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, developing and maintaining performant and scalable infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in architecting, building, documenting, and maintaining Cloud standards and processes.
- Automate, manage and monitor Azure resources and workloads.
- Implement Azure Active Directory and manage identity and access.
- Help manage Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation.
- Monitor system performance, create incident response plans, and implement observability practices.
- Leverage observability and event management to improve key incident management metrics
- Collaborate with team members to improve the company's cloud use plan.
- Stay current with industry trends and identify areas of application for emerging technologies.
- Manage cloud cost optimization and projections.
- Participate in weekend support for cloud infrastructure upgrades and/or releases.
- Facilitate Disaster Recovery implementation and testing.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues on time.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture principles.
- 3+ years of experience with public cloud, Azure experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- 3+ years of experience in configuration management tools.
- 3+ years of experience in at least one coding language.
- 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- 2+ years of experience with observability tools.
- 2+ years of experience in development and management of CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts and platforms.
- Good understanding of the Linux operating system.
- Ability to partner with multi-functional teams and pivot quickly.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Certifications in Azure cloud technologies.
- Experience in managing large cloud implementations using Terraform.
- Experience with Datadog or similar modern observability tools.
- Experience with Azure AD B2C.
