The Director, Project Management will provide strategic guidance and project management for company-led initiatives. This involves planning, initiating and executing on projects in coordination with the executive and/or operational sponsor. This role will be responsible for engaging key stakeholders, managing expectations and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leads and manages the project implementation lifecycle to deliver on multiple initiatives
- Communicates with the leadership team to keep the project aligned with company goals and strategy
- Partners with internal departments to understand the interdependencies and lead time to identify project resources. Works to understand internal stakeholder needs through active listening and requirements mapping, then providing feedback through personalized communication.
- Builds and manages the project plan to implement internal or external initiatives, major and minor system enhancements, and industry and regulatory requirements
- Implement processes and methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget to include analyzing problems and identifying effective solutions
- Inspires and motivates cross-functional project team members from multiple disciplines, fostering collaboration, acknowledging success and owning gaps. Assigns individual responsibilities and leads team meetings to ensure delivery objectives are met.
- Serves as point of contact for the project teams, addresses the emotional and professional needs of team members, and builds strong relationships with stakeholders
- Delivers effective, accurate and consistent communication to project teams, management, internal/external stakeholders and vendors
- Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain expected standards
- Track costs, performance SLAs and other metrics to meet project goals and objectives
- Adjust schedules, assignments and targets as needs change.
Qualifications
- 3 -5 years of experience in a Project Management role
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with applying LEAN techniques
- Key competencies include communication both written and verbal, problem solving, detail oriented, active listening, ability to lead without authority and to mobilize change
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred
