Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team to support this IRS project. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years of experience working closely with software developers, a deep understanding of modern coding principles, and a strong focus on automation and continuous integration. This role requires expertise in cloud migration, secure solution engineering, and dynamic monitoring to ensure optimal operations up-time.
Key Responsibilities - Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with software developers to understand requirements and provide support for seamless integration.
- Implement modern coding principles and continuous integration pipelines to streamline development processes.
- Automation and Deployment:
- Drive an automation-first approach to deployment, ensuring efficient and repeatable processes.
- Deploy services using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Cloud Migration and Management:
- Lead efforts to migrate workloads to various cloud environments including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Security and Documentation:
- Engineer secure solutions and contribute to the development of comprehensive security documentation.
- Maintain an understanding of information security postures and integrate best practices into solutions.
- Monitoring and Operations:
- Implement dynamic monitoring systems to ensure real-time insights and quick-response operations.
- Maintain high system up-time through proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
Required Skills And Experience
- 5 to 6 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Strong knowledge of modern coding principles and continuous integration pipelines.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Extensive experience with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
- Proven experience in migrating workloads to the cloud.
- Solid understanding of information security practices and secure solution engineering.
- Ability to create and maintain security documentation.
- Experience with dynamic monitoring and maintaining high operations up-time.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
- US Citizenship, Green Card Holder, or Permanent Resident.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
- Previous IRS experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Familiarity with additional automation tools and scripting languages.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
