About the Role: We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology team and drive the development of our backend infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic startup at the forefront of health technology innovation. The CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy and ensuring the successful implementation of our platform's key features, including integrating wearable data, developing a social platform, connecting blood lab data, and training an AI chatbot.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
- Define the technical vision and strategy for the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable backend systems.
- Backend Development:
- Design and implement backend software to seamlessly connect wearable device data to the platform.
- Develop and maintain a robust social platform infrastructure (think Reddit/X) to support user interaction and engagement.
- Ensure secure and efficient integration of blood lab data into the platform.
- AI and Machine Learning:
- Collaborate with data scientists to train and refine AI models, including chatbots, to enhance user experience.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for personalized health insights and recommendations.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Work with healthcare providers, labs, and other partners to integrate their services into the platform.
- Drive technical discussions and negotiations with potential partners and stakeholders.
- Product Development:
- Collaborate closely with the product team to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality features on time.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal user experience.
- Operational Excellence:
- Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment automation.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively addressing issues to ensure high availability.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a CTO, Senior Software Engineer, or similar leadership role in a technology-driven company.
- Extensive experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and secure systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating data from wearables, developing social platforms, and working with AI technologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration into software platforms.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
