Boulder Housing Partners is looking for a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial for maintaining our organization's hardware infrastructure and ensuring network security and reliability. The ideal candidate is proficient at designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and managing large-scale Wi-Fi, security cameras, and door access networks, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of our systems through effective management and maintenance practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Infrastructure and Network Management: Oversees the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware infrastructures like routers, switches, and Wi-Fi controllers. Designs and deploys network systems, including large-scale Wi-Fi and security camera networks. Manages large multi-family door access systems' design, deployment, and ongoing management. Monitors network usage, anticipates problems, and proposes solutions. Ensures system availability and reliability through performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Security and Compliance: Maintains network and system security through regular monitoring, incident response, and implementation of best practices for information security. Manages firewalls, VPNs, and implements disaster recovery plans. Performs regular checks to identify potential intrusions.
- System Administration: Provides comprehensive support for Microsoft 365 applications and Windows Server environments, including cloud migrations and identity management. Functions as the Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 security administrator.
- Troubleshooting and Help Desk Support: Diagnoses problems and addresses issues promptly, often under time constraints. Serves as backup support for the Level 1 & 2 help desk team, assisting end-users with various technology issues.
- Maintenance and Updates: Conducts routine maintenance tasks, including backups, software updates, and patches.
- Vendor and Project Oversight: Collaborates with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure seamless service delivery. Manages IT projects and handles budgeting and procurement processes for IT needs.
- Professional Development: Stays informed about emerging technologies and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity: listens to questions and concerns, evaluates issues and possible solutions, works collaboratively with the Boulder Housing Partners team to address systemic problems; inspires confidence and respect; uses feedback from others to grow and develop.
- Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents. Responsible for the safety of self, others, materials, and equipment. Uses all required safety equipment and follows all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Reports all accidents and damage to BHP property.
- Actively supports and upholds BHP's stated mission and values. Optimizes the use of resources; responsible for knowing and complying with all BHP policies. Participates in professional training and development; and adheres to attendance and workplace attire policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Windows Server Management: Handles deployments, upgrades, and migrations of Windows server environments.
- Cloud Migration: Migrates onsite servers to cloud systems, ensuring efficient and secure transitions.
- Firewall Management: Manages and maintains Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls.
- Network Design and Support: Provides expertise in designing and supporting LAN, WAN, and VPN in Cisco and Ubiquiti/Unifi network environments.
- Ubiquiti Networks: Manages large Ubiquiti Wi-Fi Networks and Ubiquiti Protect (Security Camera systems).
- Wireless Network Management: Sets up and maintains point-to-point and multi-point wireless networks.
- Microsoft Office 365: Utilizes the Microsoft Office 365 Suite with Teams Phone integration.
- Door Access Systems: Designs, manages, and maintains large Door Access systems, including both software and hardware aspects.
- IT Ticketing and Project Management: Efficiently manages IT tickets and projects, ensuring timely resolution and delivery.
- Network troubleshooting: Identifies and resolves network issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Identity Management: Manage Active Directory and Azure identity services.

REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3-4 years in network design, security, and administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong focus on user support and satisfaction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, VoIP systems, and enterprise Wi-Fi networks. Familiarity with Cisco and Ubiquiti/Unifi networking equipment, firewall configuration, Azure cloud services, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong understanding of network and information security practices, including VPNs, firewalls, and incident response.
- Experience managing IT projects from conception to implementation, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Device Management: Experience with managing various devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Cloud Management: Knowledge of Azure Cloud Management.
- Backup Strategies: Familiarity with Veeam Backup software and strategies.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience overseeing budgets for IT projects and managing the procurement processes.
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager property management software.
HIRING RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000/year DOQ
