Job Description:
The Data and Security Privacy Engineer/Architect will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of sensitive data within our government operations. This role involves revamping processes for managing data spills, reviewing and optimizing data sharing agreements, and privacy threshold agreements. The Data Privacy Expert will work closely with various departments to integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools, manage data flows, and align new data with existing schemas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data privacy, data management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
- Proven experience in managing data spills and developing preventive measures.
- Strong understanding of data sharing agreements and privacy threshold agreements.
- Experience with integrating COTS tools and managing data flows.
- Proficiency in data parsing, translation, and alignment techniques.
- Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or other relevant data privacy certifications are a plus.
