Your Title: IT Director
Your Location: Needham, MA (Hybrid)
You Report To: CTO
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm EST
Compensation: $179K+ plus bonus
Requirements
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of IT and IT security professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the effective execution of software patching and security initiatives
- Lead teams to manage hardware and software blueprint for the organization's assets including laptops, servers and other devices
- Identify technologies to keep the hardware and software up to-date with required security patches across the organization
- Evolve and implement the organization's IT security strategy, policies, and procedures
- Manage relationships with external hardware and software vendors and partners ensuring that IT infrastructure security controls are effectively implemented and maintained for current and future organizational needs as the company grows within and outside the U.S. .
- Evolve strategies for efficient provisioning of assets to employees during onboarding and offboarding and work with human resources to ensure the team meets their needs
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Monitor and analyze security incidents, investigating any breaches or security incidents and implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Work with security team to stay up to date with the latest industry trends, threats, and technologies to ensure that the organization's IT security measures are current and effective
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT and security requirements are integrated into the design and implementation of new systems and technologies
- Develop and implement security awareness programs to educate employees about security best practices and promote a culture of security within the organization
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the organization's IT security posture, including insights, recommendations, and metrics
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with and experience implementing ITIL principles and ITSM
- Expertise with IT tools and technologies, such as firewalls (Sonicwall), asset management (Lansweeper), network monitoring (PRTG), endpoint protection (Carbonblack), SIEM such as Rapid7, backup software such as Carbonite and Rubrik, patch management software such as Intune and Workspaceone and other software for all IT and security services including intrusion detection and prevention systems, encryption, antivirus software
- Additional expertise managing enterprise software such as Okta (for SingleSignon), Nice Incontact/CXOne, Docusign, Adobe is required. Exposure to installing, managing and troubleshooting various relevant application software in financial services domain is a plus
- Experience in guiding and managing professionals for help-desk, application support, network management and security functions
- Exposure to IT security principles, best practices, and industry standards
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate IT issues as well as security risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and vulnerability testing
- Experience with security incident response and management
- Knowledge of network and system administration
- Understanding of cloud computing security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT security and governance. Interfacing with various governmental regulatory entities for compliance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, CyberSecurity or a related field along with 15+years of IT experience
- Senior IT manager or director in the past 3 to 5 years
- Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are highly desirable
- Proven experience in an IT security leadership role, with a track record of successfully implementing and managing IT security programs
- Experience with risk management methodologies and frameworks
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to excel under high pressure and growth environments
- Some knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc along with security requirements for SOC2 and CISA guidelines
