Myticas Consulting is looking to hire a Network Architect responsible for the design and refinement of an enterprise-wide network.
This individual will help support and operate the entire network and will guide key objectives and directly influence the vision, strategy, and direction for the future network state.
Required Skills:
- Cisco Networking experience required; Hands on experience with Cisco FTD firewalls, Cisco ASR/ISR routers and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches.
- Widespread technical experience in implementing enterprise datacenter routing and switching protocols and functionality.
- Experience with TCP/IP, VoIP, LAN/WAN and Wireless networks.
- Knowledge in the design and architecture of cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) infrastructure environments.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco voice gateways a plus.
- Experience with VPN technologies, IPSEC, and DMVPN.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or other Network technologies preferred.
- 8+ years of experience planning, designing, implementing, and testing data communication networks both on-premise and cloud – Azure/AWS (preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in Routing, Switching, Firewall, and Wi-Fi operations.
- Experience spearheading engineering efforts or improvements across multiple teams.
- Experience providing vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing effective business solutions.
- Scripting or coding experience with one or more languages related to Network Automation.
- Security protocols and design (AAA, Radius, SSL, IPSEC).
Knowledge:
- Network security design concepts and working knowledge of firewall technologies.
- Understanding of other network design concepts (e.g., Wireless, Load Balancing, etc.)
- SAN/NAS, Fiber Channel and iSCSI designs and implementation (EMC Unity preferred).
- VMware/vSphere virtual infrastructure.
- Cisco Unified Computing System.
- Understanding of network monitoring platforms – SolarWinds (preferred).
- Ability to research network infrastructure issues independently.
- Administrative and Project Management skills to assist the department and the company in maintaining detailed records of upgrades, licenses, interfaces, and other company resources.
- Ability to lead projects and maintain schedules.
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written to employees and vendors.
