TITLE: Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Eden Prairie, MN (Hybrid)
SCHEDULE: 3 days per week in the office
TYPE: Direct Hire or Contract to Hire
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Server Management:
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows servers.
- Ensures the servers operate efficiently by monitoring their performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
- Implements and oversees server security measures.
- Manages server backups and disaster recovery protocols.
- Coordinates and collaborates with software developers and other IT staff for server-related tasks.
Network Administration:
- Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects.
- Plans, designs, and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
- Assists in coordinating special projects including network-related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem-solving.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the basics behind the internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
Security Oversight:
- Develops and implements network security policies and procedures.
- Manages and ensures the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally.
- Performs risk assessments, audits, and system backups to ensure data integrity.
- Coordinates response to network security breaches and vulnerabilities, including preventive measures to minimize the risk of future incidents.
Additional Duties:
- Provides technical support and guidance to users and other IT personnel.
- Keeps current with new technologies and continually updates skills.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight schedules.
- Provides on-call support for emergencies or scheduled maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a similar role.
- Experience with or knowledge of scripting commands, Windows operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, and virtualization.
- Experience in managing security infrastructure. Multifactor authentication, local desktop and server security, corporate antivirus for example. Being familiar with OKTA, CyberArk, -MobileIron, Arctic Wolf, DarkTrace, or equivalent Microsoft O365 offerings a plus.
- Office 365 experience with MS Teams, Sharepoint, and Power BI administration.
- Experience with Windows systems patching and maintenance.
- Experience with mobile device management.
- Experience with Network switching, routing, and WAN environments.
