This is a low level/ mid junior role
Information System Analyst hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Network Security Analyst and the specifications outlined in this document.
Work involves planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures using the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks for information systems and infrastructures.
DUTIES With Guidance And Direction
- Assist with implementation and management of the TxDOT Secure System Developer Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
- Assists in the coordination of the implementation of system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
- Confers with users to discuss issues such as account permission and data access needs, security violations and programming changes
- Adhere to plans that safeguard information systems from accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
- Conducts system categorization activities to include review of system component inventory.
- Performs and reviews technical risk assessments and reviews of new and existing applications and systems, including data center physical security and environment

Years Skills/Experience
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
1-3 Knowledge of common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk
Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Texas Information Security Standards
1-3 Experience conducting and documenting risk assessments and associated reports and supporting documentation
1-3 working in security as an ISSO or equivalent

4 4-year degree or equivalent experience may replace degree on a 1:1 year replacement
Experience bridging the technology gap for owners and custodians
Excellent written and verbal communication. Fluent in the English language.
