About the role:
Gen3 is seeking a stellar Data Analsyt with Power BI experience in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Location:Remote, U.S.
What you'll do:
- You will create a set of tools to assist the VA in reducing its risk footprint and protecting our Veterans' data by fusing data from disparate VA data sources; fusing these disparate data sources and extracting valuable data is a difficult task, but it is only a portion of the overall effort.We're looking for someone who can see how datasets can be leveraged to drive change and VA policy adherence, in addition to understanding and working with them.
- Capturing, comprehending, and translating user requirements.
- Validatingdata against policy.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, or technical equivalent with 10 years of professional experience or a total of 18 in lieu of education.
- 10+ years of experience working in the IT and business realms with user and executive-level stakeholders.
- Five or more years of business and/or data analysis experience with complex, large systems.
- Five or more years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Possessing superior verbal and written communication skills with team members, clients, and key stakeholders.
What's desired to have:
- Prior experience supporting any federal or state government agencies, especially the Veterans Affairs is desired.
- Possessing exceptional data collection, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
- Practical familiarity with Active Directory and the data fields related to user groups and accounts.
