Our IT Solution Delivery team is responsible for supporting our continued growth by partnering with each function to align the IT strategy and identify solutions, automating business processes, developing custom software solutions, providing, and governing access to data, evaluating and implementing purchased software solutions, enabling advanced technologies like AI and ML, and managing the infrastructure and security these solutions require across the enterprise. Your Role on Our Team
The Group Manager - IT Solution Delivery will primarily interface with our Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to provide standardized and scalable technology solutions with a focus on building the framework for our Industry 4.0 journey at Milwaukee Tool. You will lead solution delivery team members, business teams, product owners, and application users to collect and analyze business requirements for functions or applications. Accountabilities include the coordination of multiple small to medium projects simultaneously with business partners from requirement definition to delivery to hyper care.
You’ll Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the IT Solutions Delivery team in driving solutions across Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
- Support North American manufacturing plants with the implementation of scalable technology solutions that drive decisions with data
- Launch and help support business facing products and projects while leading highly cross-functional teams to create compelling IT solutions.
- Collaborate with business owners to help develop business case for requests.
- Foster strong and highly engaged partnerships with senior leadership across the organization.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true need.
- Current State, Future State and Gap Analysis: Independently assess and document current state across multiple processes, business areas and domains. Ability to think strategically in understanding business drivers to define "target state" solutions.
- Translate business requirements to functional requirements, develop functional design in adherence with architecture standards and principles, and provide clarification of technical requirements as input for a dedicated technical development staff.
- Understand and communicate the relationship between functional and technical requirements.
- Leverage industry expertise to achieve best in class solutions.
- Make recommendations for future-state business processes.
- Execution and implementation of project/program test plans.
- Lead projects to evaluate, qualify and select third party software, vendors and/or service providers and provide recommendations.
- Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data requirements.
- Manage project scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
- Lead cut-over planning for application and system deployment.
- Specific Projects May Include:
- Early participation in roadmap planning with resourcing tied to early business planning.
- Assembling framework for Industry 4.0 journey
- Contribute to and facilitate the creation of a multi-year strategy
- Contribute to the definition of a globally integrated and accessible systems(i.e., Asia collaboration, file sharing, information sharing, dashboards).
- Participate in and contribute to the solution design (encompassing process, data, and system architectures) and selection of solutions to support the evolution of Operations Excellence
- Determine request urgency and alignment to business strategy within the Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations organizations
- Other duties as assigned
The TOOLS You’ll Bring With You
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study such as Manufacturing, Operations, Business Management, IT, or relevant work experience.
- 7 or more years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing, Operations and/or Business Analysis.
- 7 or more years of hands-on experience working on, ERP, MES, OEE, BI, other business applications.
- Ability to take accountability and possesses a sense of urgency to design, build, and deliver solutions.
- Success in leading multiple small to medium projects in various SDLCs (waterfall and agile) across a matrix organization.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities with time constraints
- Self-Managed, Self-Starter, Team Player who is well organized and detail oriented
- Strong professional written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience with implementing ERP functions for Manufacturing business units in Oracle
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL

- ITIL Certification Preferred
