Position Summary
We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer to join our development group of F5 BIGIP NEXT product. This position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of key UI components. Designs, codes, tests and delivers new/modified functionality. Perform as an individual contributor and collaborate with peers under the direction of technical leads on assigned project teams. Requires little direct management to complete the majority of development tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement UI components of BIGIP NEXT product
- Understand requirements / use cases and proposed solutions, develop them in timely manner.
- Unit test the software using automation framework.
- Investigate and solve reported issues
- Document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents
- Collaborate with team members and technical leads
- Work with distributed teams

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Solid experience with modern programming language, such as Golang and Python (experience with Golang is a plus).
- Experience with UI test frameworks such as Cypress.
- Knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols, IPsec VPNs, SSL, Firewalls, Nat, Proxies, HTTP/HTTPS proxies is a plus
- Knowledge with Kubernetes is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
- Has background working in Agile environments and with Agile methodologies.
- Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, MS preferred
- 5 years of professional experience

The annual base pay for this position is: $166,625.00 - $249,937.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
