Description
The DevSecOps engineer role will be developing Cloud-deployed security applications and infrastructure in support of the Cloud Security and bigger Information Security program. The DevSecOps engineer will also participate in the global cloud security team, helping to iteratively enhance the overall security of the company.
What Part Will You Play?
- Develop Serverless applications or microservices (Python, Go, Rust) to create net-new services or enhancements to the event-driven security solution (Lambda, API Gateway, Eventbridge, etc).
- Act as a Senior Engineer on the Cloud Security scrum team, interacting with Cloud Security Architects on solution design and user story refinement, and providing mentoring to junior engineers .
- Perform security assessments on new Cloud Services, taking into consideration corporate security standards, PCI requirements, and AWS best practices. Define new security standards for new services and share them with the rest of the Cloud Security team.
- Contribute to security and compliance automation projects
- Threat-modeling & risk analysis
- Training & mentoring junior engineers
What Are We Looking For in This Role?Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years AWS, 5+ years application development or infrastructure architecture
- Experience working in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment, and a willingness to help define security standards for use by multiple teams.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Security Professional, AWS Architect Professional, CCSP, CISSP
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field

- Skills / Knowledge -
- Programming languages: Python, Node, Terraform, Groovy
- GitOps experience (Jenkins, Terraform)
- the ability to lead with influence and work collaboratively;
- full stack experience in an Agile environment.
