Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a System Administrator who will be responsible for the installation, administration, operation, and maintenance of the NATO SEASPARROW Performance Assessment Network (NPAN).The Ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, well-organized, and highly-motivated IT Subject Matter Experts (SME) with in-depth understanding of disciplined processes within the field.
Responsibilities:
- Performs system administration functions such as installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software on the network.
- Responsible for implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on all IA-enabled devices, Operating Systems, components, and applications.Application of computer network operations and Communications Security (COMSEC) requirements is mandatory. Requires comprehensive knowledge of Information Technology (IT), Cyber Security (CS), Information Assurance (IA), and the ability to evaluate related products that conform to DoD/DoN policies, procedures, and directives.
- Evaluates, assesses, and mitigates network, system, and application vulnerabilities to complete risk assessment requirements.
- Provides insight to project management pertaining to security risks and produce mitigation plans to reduce or remove identified risks.
- Analyze CS/IA requirements to aid in planning design and implementation of information systems that accomplish organizational goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- 3 years of System Administration experience in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, which are critical to the ability to collaborate and interface with sponsors and program managers.
- 3 years of demonstrated technical leadership capabilities and assertiveness in various technical reviews.
- 3 years of working within a teaming environment, using problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to identify and solve problems, and initiating investigations.
- Possess the confidence to defend the decision of the assessment with tact and credibility.
- Must maintain training & familiarization with new technological applications and prepare for long term operations.
- Possess demonstrated skill in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of IT systems and data.
- Possess demonstrated skill in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining system hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of complex, multi-server IT systems.
- Possess demonstrated ability to install, configure, and maintain the systems environment, including but not limited to:
- network devices (such as firewalls, routers, and switches);
- servers and associated hardware components (internal drives, RAID controllers, power supplies);
- external systems (such as backup systems, storage systems (NAS/SAN) and UPS);
- and workstations and peripheral devices.
- Possess demonstrated experience supporting various Operating Systems (OS), Web Servers (IIS), and Database Servers (SQL, Oracle).
- Possess demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS Server, DHCP Server, Exchange Server, and WSUS Server.
- Possess demonstrated skill in supporting systems running virtual technologies such as MS Hyper-V and VMWare.
- Possess demonstrated skill in data storage solutions such as Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices and Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Possess demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Defense-in-Depth (DID) including layering techniques and theories.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DoD compliance and policies including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and NSA guides for configuring DoD IA-enabled devices and systems.
- Skill in providing leadership and expertise pertaining to Information Assurance (IA) regarding security risks and mitigation plans.
- Knowledge of US Navy enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for IA Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages and capability to develop documentation and artifacts for the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) /Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Ability to implement Cyber Security requirements to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) status.
- Skill in using vulnerability scanning tools such as Retina and Tenable Nessus Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Scanner and Security Center as well as the ability to analyze and resolve identified vulnerabilities.
- Skill in using DoD Cyber Security tools such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker and the ability to analyze and resolve identified vulnerabilities.
- Ability to perform Information Assurance Management (IAVM) reporting within SPAWAR Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) system.
- Skill in using Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) such as McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) including ePolicy Orchestrator (EPO), McAfee Agent,VirusScan Enterprise (VSE), Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Policy Auditor (PA), Assets Baseline Module (ABM) , Rogue System Detection (RSD), Solid Core, Device Control Module (DCM), and Asset Configuration Compliance Module (ACCM)
The compensation range for this position:$85k - $110k annually.
