Title: IT Systems Administrator

Description
- The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for technical design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network and application infrastructure.
- This role includes managing system backups, disaster recovery, network troubleshooting, hardware and software recommendations, in-house project development, and providing technical support to internal users.
- The IT Systems Administrator also plays a key role in budget planning and may act on behalf of the Information Technology Manager as needed.
- The role requires participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergency service outages.
Required Skills
- Expertise in managing and administering network infrastructures (LAN/Wi-Fi, WAN, WLAN) and server/storage systems.
- Proficiency in daily software/system administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of network security, data management systems, and backup/recovery planning.
- Ability to research, plan, and implement infrastructure improvements to align with organizational goals.
- Skilled in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of specialized business software.
- Proficient in disaster recovery and contingency planning, with thorough documentation practices.
- Strong advisory skills for guiding leadership on technology strategies and budgetary needs.
- Ability to act independently and in the absence of the Information Technology Manager.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical users.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and maintaining effective working relationships across teams and vendors.
- Proficient in keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Desired Skills
- Experience in cloud technologies and cloud security.
- Knowledge of systems integration within a public sector or similarly complex environment.
- Familiarity with supervisory principles such as team building, leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Experience with internal customer service excellence and collaborative conflict resolution.
- Ability to customize software solutions based on end-user requirements.
Compensation
Pay Range: $80000K-$90000K
