We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to support and maintain physical and network infrastructure within enterprise-level environments. This role involves hands-on work with deploying, relocating, and decommissioning servers, networking devices, and storage systems, ensuring all installations follow industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
The engineer will assist in designing and implementing modern data center network fabrics using protocols such as VXLAN, BGP, and OSPF. Responsibilities also include conducting routine audits, managing hardware inventory, and maintaining up-to-date asset records reflecting location and operational status.
Day-to-day tasks involve environmental inspections within data halls, updating documentation post-installation or configuration changes, and working with structured cabling components like copper/fiber patch cords, patch panels, and connectors.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 5+ years of experience working in data center environments
- 5+ years in a hands-on engineering role supporting IT infrastructure
- Exposure to a variety of hardware platforms
- Experience configuring Cisco and Arista network equipment
- Strong understanding of IP networking principles
- Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management
