A company is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to lead and support the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions. This role involves designing scalable, flexible, and future-ready IT architecture while ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices. The Infrastructure Architect will work with technologies including data center infrastructure, cloud, mobile, smart manufacturing, and edge computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business representatives, process owners, and IT subject matter experts to design efficient and value-driven business solutions.
- Oversee technology changes, updates, and implementations, ensuring seamless integration.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Analyze industry and market trends to evaluate their impact on enterprise architecture.
- Maintain awareness of business strategy and IT needs, ensuring alignment with technical architecture.
- Evaluate infrastructure roadmaps and maintain a clear technology direction.
- Guide technology investment decisions, ensuring business value while meeting nonfunctional requirements.
- Conduct periodic analysis to detect technical deficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Identify technology trends and apply emerging innovations to evolving business models.
- Define metrics to measure enterprise technology value and compliance.
- Assist in governance and standards to ensure compliance with IT projects and products.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum five years of IT design and implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle management, configuration, impact, and risk analysis.
- Ability to assess and manage technical and architectural debt.
- Proven leadership experience.
- U.S. work authorization required.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in datacenter technologies, including cooling systems, fire suppression, and energy-efficient power solutions.
- Experience with server hardware, storage, virtualization, and operating systems.
- Ability to specify on-premise server hardware and storage for solution requirements.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies (backups, monitoring, automation).
- Experience with security technologies (SIEMs, PKI, IDS/IPS, encryption, firewalls).
- Familiarity with identity-related technologies (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, RBAC).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and IT standards.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in IT or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise architecture components.
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.
- Understanding of database operations and modeling languages (UML, ArchiMate).
- Familiarity with NIST 800-171, DFARS, Export Control, or CMMC 2.0 compliance.
