Title: Windows System Administrator

Location: Bronx, New York,

Job Description

Windows Server Administration:
Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching.
SQL Server Management:
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments.
Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts for automation and reporting.
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor system performance.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery:
Implement and support backup/recovery solutions.
Maintain disaster recovery plans.
Automation & Scripting:
Use PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
Security & Compliance:
Maintain security best practices (system hardening, vulnerability management).
Ensure compliance with change management and ITIL processes.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work with development/application teams and management to resolve system issues.
Produce documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change controls.
Virtualization:
Utilize virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) for infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
7+ years of Windows system administration experience in mid to large-scale environments.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
Understanding of network fundamentals and ITIL practices.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and customer-outcome focused.
Preferred:
Utility and energy domain experience.
Microsoft/CompTIA certifications (Windows Hybrid Server Administrator, Administrator Associate, Security+).
Master’s degree.
