- Understands and participates in the planning process with team members for the market and portfolio of the team Can proactively manage own tasks, own time and highlight areas for help to be accountable to deliver high quality, on- time work
- Develop, manage and execute a targeted Analyst Relations plan with guidance; educate the most influential industry analysts who work with existing or prospective IBM customers. Embed with the business unit to influence strategy and sales and improve analyst perceptions and relationships year-over-year.
- Influence analyst research on IBM, its competitors and the markets that IBM competes in; shape the perception of IBM and the value it brings to its customers; improve analyst rating in influential reports and evaluations.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and strategic developments in the area of focus; share relevant analyst research and implications with senior management to shape BU strategy and offerings.
- Connect key IBM executives with expert analysts for advisory sessions to help define and influence offering strategy.
- Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, sales, offering management, communications legal and BU leadership to ensure that IBM is getting the best representation with the analyst community.
- Manage and procure paid strategic research projects on behalf of IBM to ensure that key analyst firms are actively engaged with IBM offerings
- Develop a keen understanding of how to build credible and impactful relationships with key influencers and leading industry analysts.

In this role you will learn how IBM Software helps clients modernize, predict, automate, and secure mission critical business processes and enterprise data.
The successful candidate will develop deep relationships with key software analysts in their assigned focus area, in order to understand their markets and views, and to help product and marketing teams position our software products with those analysts for maximum benefit to evaluative reports and their conversations with prospective clients.

Candidate should have:
- Expert project management and problem-solving skills
- Participates in projects with other team members to build AR skill set; grow to established 101 knowledge of the IBM Business, demonstrating. understanding of specific IBM offerings and differentiation
- The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and manage multiple stakeholders, internal and external to IBM
- To be able to collaborate with Sales teams and suggest creative ways of engaging analysts to influence client decisions
- Strong attention to detail, you chase tasks until completion and always follow-up with urgency
- A natural tendency to be proactive, you know the needs of the teams and get creative when opportunities arise to help your teammates
- Great communication skills, more importantly you know when to listen and when to lead
- A desire to grow in the Analyst Relations profession and learn from the industry’s best talent
- Established 101 knowledge of specific market. Demonstrates understanding of specific IBM offerings and differentiation
