Travel PossibleJob Summary:M1 Support Services' Cloud Analyst supports and optimizes our evolving cloud environments during and after the migration fromlegacy on-premise systems. This role focuses on analyzing cloud performance, cost-efficiency, and security posture. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring and Analysis* Monitor performance of cloud infrastructure components (networking, storage, compute).* Analyze data related to system performance and cloud service usage.* Identify and address performance bottlenecks and access issues.Cost Optimization* Monitor and analyze cloud spending.* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.Security Monitoring* Analyze cloud security service logs.* Identify and escalate potential security concerns.Issue Troubleshooting and Escalation* Provide first-level analysis for cloud performance or access-related issues.* Collaborate with engineers for advanced troubleshooting and resolution.Collaboration and Reporting* Work with developers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations.* Present findings and support decision-making with data-driven analysis.Cloud Migration Support* Analyze data during the decommissioning of legacy systems.* Identify potential issues and ensure a smooth transition to the cloud.Help Desk Support* Assist with escalated Help Desk tickets related to cloud services.* Provide analytical insights to resolve user-reported issues.Professional Development* Stay up to date with cloud technologies, platforms, and best practices.* Participate in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.Additional Tasks* Will perform additional relevant tasks as assigned.Qualifications, Education, and Experience: Page 2of 3Basic Qualifications:Experience and Technical Knowledge* 1-3 years of experience in an IT-related role with exposure to cloud environments.* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure GCCH environments.* Understanding of networking, storage, and compute architecture in cloud systems.* Must be able to pass a background check for DoD Security Clearance, if requiredIndustry Certifications* Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or similar certification preferred.* Security+ Certification or equivalent understanding of cybersecurity principles.Security Awareness* General knowledge of cloud security practices and monitoring tools.Scripting and Data Analysis* Experience with basic scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for data gathering.* Proficiency in analyzing system performance data.Soft Skills* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities.* Able to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:Technical Competencies* Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).* Exposure to cloud development tools (Azure DevOps, GitKraken, Jenkins).* Knowledge of cloud-native application architecture.Additional Skill SetsSystem & User Management* Hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID concepts for user management analysis* Microsoft Endpoint Manager for device management insightSecurity & Networking* AV administration principles for security analysis* Basic DNS and Route 53 concepts* General networking experience to support connectivity issue resolutionCloud & Infrastructure* Familiarity with:* Amazon Web Services (AWS)* Microsoft Azure GCCH* VMware for virtualized environments* Dell/EMC Unity storage systems (or willingness to learn)* Linux systems for server log analysisExperience* Military experience, especially within DoD environments, is a plusWorking Conditions: Page 3of 3Work Environment:* Work is performed in an office environment with occasional travel* Must be able to work independently and collaboratively
