Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex technical solutions, with a strong focus on architecture and design. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.
Architecture
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the development of system and solution architectures, ensuring the use of best practices and standards in solution design.
Design
– Provide technical design leadership, assisting in the detailed design and implementation of components.
– Design and implement RESTful APIs and Java-based microservices.
– Collaborate on cloud-native architecture strategies, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scalable, reliable solutions.
– Design and integrate API gateways, ensuring smooth and secure API calls across the platform.
– Implement and design Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to ensure system resilience and business continuity.
– Ensure solutions meet security standards and PCI DSS compliance, applying appropriate security controls in both architecture and design.
– Guide development teams through the implementation of architectural decisions, promoting best practices, performance, and scalability.
– Participate in the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and techniques to ensure high-quality solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
– Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on cloud-native applications and microservices.
– Strong experience with RESTful APIs and Java-based microservices.
– Solid experience in cloud-native technologies, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
– Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
– Extensive experience with API gateways and the management of API calls.
– Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution.
– Well-versed in security controls, especially PCI DSS compliance.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a distributed team.
– Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
– Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud technologies.
– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
– Experience in Agile development environments.
