Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join an exciting work program. The successful candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and in following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, configure, and patch application software on servers, managing updates, and ensuring compatibility across different environments
- Monitor application performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies to maintain system responsiveness
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to application functionality, user access, and data integrity
- Implement security measures to protect applications from unauthorized access, data breaches, and vulnerabilities
- Manage application backups, ensuring data recovery capabilities, and implementing disaster recovery plans
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels within applications
- Assess future application needs and planning for infrastructure upgrades to accommodate growth
- Maintain detailed documentation on application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices
This position is hybrid, with onsite support as needed at our customer location in Clarksburg, WV. Candidates must be able to provide onsite support whenever requested, and are required to live within commuting distance to Clarksburg, WV. AnaVation is not able to provide travel reimbursement when onsite support is required. Hybrid status is expected to continue, but is subject to change according to the direction of the customer.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and, if requested by the customer, the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, minimum of six (6) years relevant experience required

- Minimum of two years of experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Database management skills
- Knowledge of application architecture and design principles
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Experience with application deployment tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with security best practices
- Utilize some scripting and automation skills for repetitive task. 20
- Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe
