System Administrator
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Position Summary
Haywire is seeking System Administratorto manage and support the Haywire internal systems, network infrastructure, and critical services. This role is responsible for maintaining server environments, managing cloud services, and line of business applications
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain internal systems, servers , cloud platforms, and network infrastructure.
- Support and troubleshoot internal applications and services used for provisioning, monitoring, and customer management.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, backups, and system patching.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, responding to alerts and incidents as needed.
- Work closely with the networking and field teams to support service delivery and customer services
- Develop and maintain documentation, scripts, and automation tools to streamline system operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, best practices, and data protection standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system issues or outages.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience with managing Linux systems
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, etc.)
- Experience with residential and commercial network deployments is preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, or similar).
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Bash, Python, Make).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with hypervisors is preferred
