We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Network Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Hardware Systems Administrator to maintain and improve our IT infrastructure, which includes Windows and Linux servers, core networking components, and cloud-based services. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Hardware Systems Administrator to ensure seamless IT operations and project execution.
- Manage and maintain a mixed Windows and Linux server environment, ensuring security, stability, and performance.
- Configure and monitor SonicWall firewalls, UniFi networking gear, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Administer cloud services including Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Google Workspace, and Intune MDM.
- Oversee virtualized environments using VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, along with NAS storage solutions.
- Proactively troubleshoot system and network issues, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize configurations.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including detailed network diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Enforce security best practices across servers, endpoints, and cloud services.
- Act as the hands-on technical lead for system upgrades, security enhancements, and new deployments.
- Self-train on existing systems (developed with limited documentation) and independently identify improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience with strong knowledge of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) and Linux administration.
- Proven expertise with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls) and enterprise-level security.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and Intune Mobile Device Management.
- Familiarity with UniFi networking equipment, SonicWall firewalls, and virtualization platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and approach challenges with creativity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, SonicWall CSSA, CompTIA Network+).
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Windows 365 Cloud PC.
