Description
We are offering a full time employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Aiken, South Carolina, 29803, United States. As a Systems Administrator, you will be working closely with end users and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Cisco Technologies, Firewall Technologies, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.
- Work independently and in a team to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
- Engage with end users to provide IT support, catering to 25-30 individuals onsite.
- Maintain a proactive approach, unafraid to pose queries and initiate solutions.
- Ensure proper certification and compliance are met in IT operations.
- Regularly monitor, update, and maintain IT systems and user accounts.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Maintain regular onsite presence, providing consistent and reliable IT support.
- Act as a self-starter, demonstrating initiative and drive in all tasks.
- Ensure no on-call situations, maintaining a stable and predictable work schedule.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have around 5 years of IT experience and any certification related to systems administration
- Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, with a focus on networking and security systems.
- Solid understanding of Firewall Technologies, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated expertise in Active Directory, including user management and group policies.
- Experience with Hyper-V for virtualization and server management.
- Ability to provide technical support and resolve system issues.
- Knowledge of network protocols, routers, and switches.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in system administration.
