Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced System Administrator to manage and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure and operations. This role involves administering complex systems, including network architecture, servers, and enterprise platforms such as NetSuite ERP, Magento 2, and Extreme Networks. The System Administrator will also provide advanced support for critical IT assets, including warehouse barcoding systems, POS systems, and access control systems across multiple locations.
As a key member of the IT team, you will lead strategic projects, mentor junior staff, and implement scalable, secure solutions to drive organizational growth. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize server infrastructure, including VMware vSphere and other virtualized environments.
- Oversee and manage network architecture, including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points, ensuring reliability, security, and PCI compliance.
- Manage cloud services and hybrid environments, including Azure, AWS, and Office 365 platforms.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the IT team to evaluate and implement infrastructure upgrades that support business objectives and reduce complexity.
- Enterprise System Administration:
- Administer and support eCommerce platforms, including NetSuite ERP, Magento 2, and Celigo.
- Manage hardware and software for warehouse barcoding equipment, label printers, RF guns, and POS systems.
- Maintain and oversee access control systems, including Verkada cameras and security fobs.
- Develop and enforce IT policies aligned with NIST guidelines and PCI compliance requirements.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated hardware, software, and network issues.
- Lead troubleshooting for complex technical issues impacting operations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and manage updates or hardware replacements.
- Project Leadership:
- Lead IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and network expansions.
- Assess, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance IT capabilities.
- Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Mentor and train junior IT staff, fostering technical growth and ensuring alignment with IT objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, retail, and remote operations, to address IT needs efficiently.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Specialized certifications in NetSuite ERP, Magento 2, Verkada, or Extreme Networks are a strong plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of IT systems administration, including managing servers, networks, and enterprise software.
- Proven expertise in NetSuite ERP, VMware vSphere, and hybrid cloud environments.
- 2+ years of experience with eCommerce technologies; Magento 2 experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IT systems for warehouse and retail environments, including barcoding, label printers, mobile scanners, and POS systems.
- Hands-on experience with access control and surveillance systems.
- 5+ years of Active Directory administration, including 3+ years with Azure/Entra and Office 365.
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, VLAN configurations, and Extreme Networks hardware (preferred).
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement secure, compliant IT solutions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varied environments, including warehouses and retail locations.
- Capable of lifting and carrying IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as crawling under desks or climbing ladders.
- Willingness to travel between sites and respond to after-hours emergencies.
